We are thrilled to announce that Ars Magna, a Doc Challenge film from 2008, was nominated for an Emmy Award in the "New Approaches to News and Documentary Programming Category." It's hard to believe that a short doc made in only 5 days has achieved this level of success! Congratulations to Director Cory Kelley, Producer Sean Roach and all of Team Juicebox from Seattle. Thanks to POV for their support of the Doc Challenge and their help in making this happen.

Special Event: The Israeli Doc Challenge |

A special regional Doc Challenge happened in Israel this past May. The "Israeli Doc Challenge" was developed out of a partnership between Ari Davidovich of Hypermedia and KDHX Community Media (the creators and producers of the International Documentary Challenge.) Fifteen Israeli filmmakers were selected to participate and the winning films premiered at Docaviv - The Tel Aviv International Documentary Film Festival. The films were focused on the Centennial Anniversary of the city and over 800 people turned out for the premiere! Watch the winning films in our screening room.
