Documentary Channel partners with Doc Challenge |
The International Documentary Challenge is proud to welcome Documentary Channel (USA) as our newest Presenting Partner. Beginning in 2011 Documentary Channel will present the Best Film Award ($1,500) and the Audience Award ($500). Additionally they will give a U.S. national broadcast to a selection of Doc Challenge films each year. From the 2010 submissions, they selected 9 Doc Challenge titles for broadcast.
Documentary Channel is a 24-hour-per-day, 7-days-a-week television network dedicated exclusively to airing the works of independent documentary filmmakers. Documentary Channel features some of the highest quality documentary films made by many of the most talented documentarians in the world. They present a broad range of titles including Academy Award-winning and nominated features and shorts as well as film festival winners and favorites. Documentary Channel offers films of all lengths and genres, from the classics to the cutting edge, addressing politics, culture, science, the environment, war, music, and sports, as well as exclusive IMAX Originals and their own in-house productions, such as Doc Talk and Treasures of the Academy.
