Great use of the theme in the voice-over near the end. Love the audio work. The tone of the main subject's voice sounds like she's whispering her wisdom over my shoulder. It juxtaposes beautifully over the innocent imagery of her learning the hand-signs. Makes me feel kind of emotional every time I watch.

wow....not sure what else to say...highly entertaining. and from a New Yorker loves Hip Hop, it's great to see the art form appreciated and not just imitated.

the message came, I think, a little late...or maybe I was distracted by the booty-shakin' grannies! (awesome)

(sometimes wondered if it were staged, but it's clearly not)

This is a funny doc. I have a feeling that as China is increasingly exposed to their special version of monitored globalisation, we're going to see more of these stange groups forming. What next? a group of NASCAR racing tai tai from hunan?

Her wisdom is amazing and maybe not so amazing considering the history she has lived and witnessed. WWII---with Japanese invasion; Mao and the poverty of his years; the Red Guard movement; westernization and all along limited freedom. To have this spunk and wisdom and hip-hop---wow. This opened this granny's eyes and heart. The message was great.

I guess that to receive the loans from creditors you should present a great reason. But, one time I have got a term loan, because I wanted to buy a bike.
